NORTHAMPTON HALF MARATHON

The race start is located in the heart of Northampton in front of the Guildhall. The race finishes in Delapre Country Park.

THE MINTRIDGE MILE

The Mintridge Mile will take place on Sunday 29th September anytime between 10.00 and 13:00, Delapre Park near Delapre Abbey, Northampton.

Entry fee is £8.00 and this includes a t-shirt and finisher’s medal. The Mintridge Mile is suitable for children age 3+, children under 7 must be accompanied by an adult. All accompanying adults run for free!

The Mintridge Mile allows you to choose your own distance from 1, 2 or 3 miles around our family friendly track. Along the way there will be support and encouragement from our professional sports stars, drinks stations, motivational cheers squads and sporting activities to make the event as fun and enjoyable as possible.

The event will not be a timed race, the essence of The Mintridge Mile is to encourage children of all ages and abilities to ‘have a go’ and feel proud about taking part in sport and physical activity.

FUNDRAISING FOR TEAM MINTRIDGE 

To raise money for The Mintridge Foundation you can do so quickly and easily by setting up your personal fundraising page here:

  • Click on Fundraise for Us and follow the instructions. 
  • Sign up with Facebook or using your email address.
  • Complete the fields about your personal information including a password.
  • Click Continue.
  • Enter the amount that you wish to raise.
  • Enter the type of fundraiser that you are doing by opting for "Taking Part in An Exisiting Event". 
  • Click Continue. 
  • Select "Northampton Half Marathon & The Mintridge Mile (Family Fun Run)". 
  • Click Continue.
  • Choose a Challenge Name
  • Choose a Challenge Type
  • Choose Challenge Date
  • Click Continue.
  • Add a Photo (from Facebook or a saved file on your desktop / phone tablet). This will appear as your profile picture.
  • Crop if applicable.
  • Click Continue.
  • Add a Background Photo (from Facebook or a saved file on your desktop / phone tablet. You can also use a default image). This will appear on your personal fundraising page.
  • Enter the title of your campaign and explain why you are doing it. Please feel free to edit this:

The Mintridge Foundation’s Mission is to assist children and young people of all abilities and physical capabilities to develop confidence and resilience and raise awareness of the importance of mental and physical wellbeing through sport and positive sporting role models.

Their Ambassadors - Olympians, Paralympians and other professional sports stars from over 20 sports work with young people in schools, clubs and academies across the UK. They encourage inclusive sports participation for all, disability awareness, female empowerment, coping strategies for exam stress, increased confidence levels and life skills needed to achieve a balanced and healthy lifestyle.
